Bank says man owes it more than $5,000 in missed credit card payments
A bank claims one of its card holders has failed to repay more than $5,000 he borrowed.
Discover Bank filed a lawsuit Feb. 15 in Jefferson County District Court against John D. Savoie. Discover-Bank-card
In its complaint, Discover alleges it allowed Savoie to make purchases on a credit card it had issued him. However, Savoie failed to repay the $5,524.98 he borrowed, according to the complaint.
In addition to the money Discover says Savoie owes it, the bank seeks costs, post-judgment interest and other relief the court deems just.
Joseph M. O’Bell, Audrie L. Lawton, Troy D. Bolen and Laura L. Bedford of Zwicker and Associates in Round Rock will be representing it.
The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
Case No. A193-947
