Bank sues card holder over credit card debt
A bank claims one of its credit card holders owes more than $10,000 in unpaid debts.
American Express Bank filed a lawsuit Dec. 27 in Jefferson County District Court against Sharene L. Mouton.
In its complaint, American Express claims Mouton racked up a credit card bill of $12,413, but has failed to repay all the money owed.
American Express alleges unjust enrichment against Mouton.
In addition to the money it says Mouton owes it, American Express seeks attorney's fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and other relief the court deems just.
Donald D. DeGrasse of DeGrasse and Rolnick in Houston will be representing it.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
Case No. A191-563
